ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Prescribed application form for admission should be collected from the college office or can be downloaded from the college official website only. (www.srcollege.ac.in)

The application from for admission should be filled up properly with CAPITAL LETTER & one recent passport size colored photograph of the applicant should be pasted in its appropriate place.

Admission into the college is strictly based on merit basis governed by the “admission rule” of the college framed by the admission committee. The decision of the Chairman of admission committee shall be final with regard to all matters of admission.

If the number of the applicant is more, the admission committee may conduct written/oral interview test for the final selection. (if decided)

The properly filled up admission form along with all testimonials and the prescribed fee must be submitted in college office within the stipulated date, no other request for admission will be entertained after the scheduled date.

The admission form must accompany with Xerox copies (self attested) of the following documents (FOR FIRST SEMESTER):-
(A) Mark sheet and certificates from H.S.L.C onwards.
(B) Character Certificate from the head of the Institution last attended.
(C) Caste Certificate (in case of SC, ST, ST, OBC or MOBC categories)
(D) Two copies of recent passport size colored photograph. (For identity card and office record)
(E) Students passing the qualifying examination earlier than the current year will have to submit a Gap certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution last attended. Candidates having more than three years study gap will not be eligible for admission.

Students of TDC (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th semesters) classes shall have to deposit fees for renewal of admission and other testimonials at the college office on specified date as will be notified by the Principal.

ALL NOTICES FOR ADMISSION, NORMS, DATE OF INTERVIEW TEST, CLASS SCHEDULE AND OTHERS WILL BE NOTIFIED IN THE COLLEGE NOTICE BOARD TIME TO TIME AND THE SAME WILL BE UPDATED IN THE COLLEGE OFFICIAL WEBSETE. THE STUDENTS ARE ADVISED TO VISIT THE SITE REGULARLY.



ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO TDC FIRST SEMESTER PASS COURSE

The Admissions Committee of the college has an essential function of evaluating candidates and to ensure a standard of selection procedure of the students for admission into the college. With this objective a staff meeting was held in the college premises on dated 8th December 2014 to form a fresh admission committee to assist the Chairman in performing his duties in this regard. The names of the proposed committee members were unanimously supported by all and through common consent the admission committee was formed which came into effect from the same day.

Students seeking admission to the First Semester of TDC PASS Course in Arts must have passed H. S. Examination of AHSEC or CBSE examination or equivalent to 10+2 standard examination of any other Council / Board or of any other State of India recognized by Assam University

Admission of students in TDC is strictly followed according to the rules and regulations governed by Assam University and as enunciate from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO TDC FIRST SEMESTER HONOURS COURSE

Students seeking admission into Honours courses must secure at least 45% marks in the concerned subject and 50%in the total aggregate in the H.S. Final examination or equivalent (10+2) examination. However, any special consideration in relaxing the percentage for the admission in Honours course may be granted by the concerned Head of the Department, with the approval of the Principal.

RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR ADMISSION

There is provision for reservation of seats for students belonging to special category as per Govt. of India Rules and 5% relaxation in cut-off marks is allowed to students seeking admission against reserved quota.

ALL THE ADMISSIONS WILL BE DONE STRICTLY ON MERIT BASIS AND THROUGH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE ADMISSION COMMITTEE OF THE COLLEGE HEADED BY THE CHAIRMAN. IF THE NUMBER OF THE APPLICANTS FOR ADMISSION IS MORE, THE COMMITTEE MAY DECIDE TO CONDUCT WRITTEN/ORAL INTERVIEW TEST FOR THE FINAL SELECTION.
